Overall experience was nice, good staff and nice atmosphere. The main courses were a let down for us. The &#39;Rotisserie&#39; chicken should be caller microwaved chicken and was borderline cooked through. Not what you expect for &pound;18. The steak was the same price as what you&#39;d get in a steak restaurant but unfortunately nowhere near as good quality.Based on the menu and the bill we had higher expectations and left very full but very underwhelmed.

The Crown offers good food, the staff are friendly with a nice atmosphere and the price is reasonable

Had a lovely evening, but the food and service were not up to usually experienced in Mitchell &amp; Butler restaurants. The restaurant was full for a Wednesday evening, I didn&#39;t see anyone who appeared to be a manager and the restaurant felt short staffed, especially as the evening went on. I would go back, just hoping this is not the norm for The George

Chicken burger sauce made the bun fall to pieces, but my wife thought her steak sandwich was excellent. We were charged &pound;4 extra than the price on the menu because because they put the cheapest main course against the lunch deal, not what we actually ate per person!

It was our first visit to The George since it was refurbished and we were very impressed with the decor and layout of the premises. Del, the manager, should be very proud of his staff who were all very welcoming and helpful.The food, we chose the wine and dine experience for &pound;100, was excellent from starter to dessert, with an excellent wine to accompany it.We will definitely be making another booking as it is definitely a place that you would want to continue visiting..

Like the refurb. The staff were excellent and very attentive.Car park becoming a euro car park is annoying but guess they must have had issues&hellip;
